44 Days of Witch-Picture of Nature (Water Element).

I know the title says to post an image of the Water Element, and I’ve done that. BUT! A picture can’t always give you what you need. For me, water is where I recharge, relax and find peace. I can sit on the beach and watch the ocean waves for hours and when I leave that place, I know I am fully 100% able to face anything that comes my way. The above image was taken on one of our trips to my very most favorite beach in North Carolina. This is the beach on Emerald Isle, a 29-mile stretch of island on the lower Outer Banks between Morehead City and Jacksonville, which is part of the Crystal Coast.

The water here is warm, clear, and calming while also having the ability to produce decent size waves during a storm. The oceanfront is lined with both large and small homes and duplexes. While there is a large scattering of condominiums, there are no oceanfront hotels. Beach access is mostly open to the public and the people are friendly (yes, I know I sound like a travel guide, but this has been our experience every time we’ve been there).

Since moving to Hope Mills/Fayetteville, we haven’t gone to Emerald Isle as much as when we lived in Raleigh, it’s closer and more convenient to go to Myrtle Beach where there are more family type activities, and let me tell you, our Little Witch LOVES the beach and has asked to go “camping on the beach” for her birthday next month. Yes, you “can” camp directly on the beach, or at least close enough to feel the salt spray.

To me, water is the cleansing, healing, psychic and loving element. Water is a great necessity, for without it nothing can live. Only earth and water can bring forth a living soul. Such is the greatness of water that spiritual regeneration cannot be done without it.

Water is a feminine element, it also the element of emotion and subconscious, of purification, intuition, mysteries of the self, compassion and family. It is psychic ability; water can be used as a means of scrying or as an object for meditation. Water is important in spells and rituals of friendship, marriage, happiness, fertility, healing, pleasure, psychic abilities and spells involving mirrors.

Even though I was born under the element of Air, I am truly a water child …
