Sleepy Sunday...

It's very dark and dreary here in the Sand Hills, been raining all day and is supposed to continue throughout the night. But that's OK, I like days like today. Jimmy is on his way to Dallas, I have the house all to myself and all is well in this corner of the world. Well, except for the cold I picked up last week and can't get it to continue on its journey. I told it this morning I was finished and to pack up and take a hike. Damn thing didn't listen too well...

My day has been moderately productive, I made a pot of chili, made from scratch jalapeno & green chili cornbread and then also whipped up a pan of made from scratch decadent dark chocolate brownies and topped them off with the frosting recipe found on the box of Hershey's baking cocoa. I did a load of laundry and took off my acrylic nails.

I discovered a few days ago, if I'm gonna be a crafty Witch, my nails get in the way. And I'm not going anywhere special, nor is there a big holiday on the horizon (if ya don't count my birthday), so I can do without the nails for a few weeks. I have lots of projects to tackle, more Tarot bags to make, a Spirit board to work on and a few other items I need to *begin* in order to have them complete by Yule. Yes, I know Yule is over 11 months away... but I have a BIG list of things I want to finish for gifts and decorations and I'm NOT waiting until the last minute which will irritate me and cause me to not finish.

I'm trying to be more organized, make lists and check things off as I get them done. That's all good in theory until my brain takes an unapproved vacation day like it did today. None of the items on today's checklist were touched. Lot's got done, just nothing on the *list*, LOL!

  1. It still counts, list or no list! lol..

It has been rainy and dreary here for a solid week. I usually like the rain but I am over it this week lol.

Our chili was so good too! Those brownies sound awesome!

I am so ready for Tuesday when Alex goes back to school so I can get started on all my stuff!

  2. I can't believe the amount of rain we have had and they say we are still in deficit.

Lists, yeah, I make them and then promptly lose them. So now I carry around a notebook type thing so I can keep track of what I'm supposed to be doing, LOL!!

    C'mon Tuesday! <3

  3. Dallas is my area. :-) Well, DFW anyway. I wish my husband could travel out of town once in a while for some much needed alone time, it sounds like you are getting a lot accomplished.
