30 Days of Truth~Day 5

Something You Hope to Do in Your Lifetime

When I decided I was going to do this challenge again, I said I'd try to find the entries from 2011 when I did it the first time. I found some of them, not all 30 days. I wanted to see if my feelings, thoughts, decisions, actions had changed at all.

30 Days of Truth ~ Day 5 ~ Something You Hope to Do in Your Lifetime (Original post-July 19, 2011)

Like a few people I know, I have a “Bucket List” of things I want to accomplish before I pass once again into the Summerland.

To pare down my list to just one thing took some thought. I want to travel to Spain, Hawaii (specifically Kauai), and Salem.

I want to win the lottery…and with those winnings pay off all my debt and buy a small house on or very near the beach.

I want to go back to school…get a business degree.

The one thing I can narrow my One Thing I hope to Do down to is to get the business degree and open my own little Pagan Tea Shop. A place where people can come hang out, enjoy some amazing tea and browse the bookshelves. This has been my *dream* for as long as I can remember and up until recently, I had no idea how to accomplish it. Now I have the opportunity to go back to college, get a business degree and have the foundation to make this impossible dream a reality.

I know, it’s not going to be easy, especially at my age, but I am determined to give it my best shot. And when I do finally open, I promise I’ll send you all invitations to the grand opening of Aoibheal’s Attic!

Current Post

Looks like my bucket list has changed a bit. My quest and desire to open a Pagan Tea Shop is no longer anywhere even near the top of that list. Life changes, goals change and what one was important no longer is. Aoibheal's Attic was a beautiful dream and one that at the time was an important aspect of my everyday life goals, today's dreams, hopes, and plans.

I haven't won the lottery  ...yet. Yes, we still buy those tickets for the Powerball and Megamillions, and we will continue to do so. How can you accomplish your dream of travel or stability unless you have a decent amount of money to aid in your quest?

I went back to school but didn't get the business degree I thought I wanted. Instead, I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Alternative Medicine, with an Associates Degree in Constitutional Law and Political Science. However, I more than likely won't be pursuing employment in either field, I like being a stay at home wife, mother, and Abi. I love having the ability to spend as much time as I want with my family without worrying about scheduling time off to do so. And, none of that would be possible if it weren't for my husband. You see, he spoils me ... in all things. And yes, I know I'm spoiled and freely admit it.

Traveling to Spain, Hawaii, and Salem hasn't happened yet. They are still on my bucket list and I'm still planning to accomplish each destination.

I really haven't added anything that I hope to accomplish. I'm pretty satisfied with the course my journey is on and I'm loving the life I have surrounded by family, great friends and holding hands with the partner of my soul.
