Privacy Policy for The Feisty Witch

In my ongoing effort to try to make sure I am in compliance with the laws now in effect for protecting the privacy of my readers, I have altered this form I found here to personalize it to those of you who follow The Feisty Witch but may live outside the United States. YES, this is a copy and past and used with permission.

This will also be added to the Legalese page found up there^^

Privacy Policy

The privacy of my visitors is extremely important. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of personal information that is received and collected and how it is used.

Your use of this site, in any and all forms, constitutes an acceptance of this Privacy Policy.

I do not share your personal information with third parties.

I am not responsible for republished content from this blog on other blogs or websites without my permission.

Your use of this blog, in any way or form, constitutes an acceptance of this Privacy Policy. I will not share your personal information with anyone, except to comply with the law.

If you publicly follow this blog or leave a comment on any of my posts, you do so knowing that your username and the link to your own blog (if provided by you) are visible to all visitors

Following/Leaving Comments

If you publicly follow this blog or leave a comment on any post on this blog you do so in the knowledge that your username and profile or blog are visible to all who visit this blog and in so doing have published your own personal details.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

You consent to my use of that personal information should you be selected as a winner in any giveaways.

If you no longer wish to appear in my Followers list simply click on the Unfollow button which is situated underneath the list of followers on the right-hand side.

If you wish to delete your comments at any time WordPress/Blogger provides a Delete option under each comment.

All followers and people who leave comments are also covered by Google's Privacy Policy.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Like many other websites, a visit to my blog will automatically create a log file, held securely on Google servers. The information in the log files include:

Internet Protocol addresses (IP)

Types of browser

All of this information is not linked to anything that is personally identifiable.

Contact Forms
By default, WordPress does not include a contact form. If you use a contact form plugin, use this subsection to note what personal data is captured when someone submits a contact form, and how long you keep it. For example, you may note that you keep contact form submissions for a certain period for customer service purposes, but you do not use the information submitted through them for marketing purposes.

Cookies
