Happy Thanksgiving From Our House to Yours!

I know there are many different feelings about this holiday, we don't celebrate the things we were taught in school all those years ago. Our gathering is for us to remember family and friends and to give thanks for the things we've been able to do for the past year. We also remember those we have lost who made a difference in our life. Yes, we cook a huge meal and enjoy time together as a family.

However, we aren't having our feast today, the Little Witch is at her Dad's today so our big day will be tomorrow. And then on Saturday, we are going up to Old Grandfather Christmas Tree Farm in northern NC to cut our Yule tree!  We've been creating our own traditions and this trip each year is one of the most important and fun-filled ones so far.

On Sunday, I've got a bunch of things to begin, TLW and I are making paper snowflakes, construction paper ring garlands, wooden ornaments to paint and stockings to personalize and the new front door wreath is just waiting to be all tied together. Jimmy has been asking for more traditional Old Fashioned decorations. We began last year and will be adding to the stock as the years go by. Tanya is in charge of the exterior decorations and she's got quite the collection going on, LOL! Yes, I'm excited once again for the holidays!! It took a while to get to this point, but now I look forward to everything.

Today so far, I've spent the biggest part of the morning unpacking the things I had with me in The Big Ass truck for the past 2 months. It seems like there is a mountain of laundry (there really isn't, LOL) but sorting and putting things away is at best time-consuming. I'll be home until the 7th of January when the Little Witch goes back to school after the holiday break. Then it's back in the truck with Jimmy and we'll come home every 2 1/2 to 3 weeks and be here for 2 or 3 days.

A couple weeks ago, we were able to get a 12 X 20 building and have it delivered, set up, anchored and today Jimmy is adding the electric so Tanya and I have a place for crafting. Everything goes out there except the journal supplies. While I'm home I'll be sorting through my journal/planner supplies and reorganizing the things I use on a regular basis. I have a huge office sized desk in what should be the dining room (I've converted it into my office space) that sits right in front of the huge window and this is where you will find me acting like a kid and playing with my books and stickers.

So on this day, my wish for you ALL is a day is full of love and laughter, memories and magic!
